President Jill E. Wadlund, ALCM has over 23 years experience in the property and casualty insurance business. Ms. Wadlund was formerly the Vice President & Worldwide Life Sciences Casualty Manager of Chubb’s Life Sciences operations, and formerly Vice President and Worldwide Manager of CNA’s Advanced Medical Technology operations. Her previous experience has included positions in underwriting, claims, loss control, and finance while employed by Continental, CNA, and Chubb. Ms. Wadlund serves as a member of the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Bioethics External Advisory Board. She is also member of the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics; Public Responsibility in Medicine & Research Organization; Drug Information Association; Food & Drug Law Institute; Defense Research Institute; Professional Liability Underwriting Society; Casualty Actuarial Society; and Risk and Insurance Management Society. Ms. Wadlund is a magna cum laude and Phi Kappa Phi graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where she received her B.S. degree in Occupational Safety & Health and Business Administration.

Global Field Officer, Senior Vice President Emily Urban, J.D. has more than 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, with the last six years being involved with the life sciences segment. Before joining Berkley Life Sciences, Ms. Urban was the Chubb Technology Zone Underwriting manager, responsible for the Northeastern United States. Ms. Urban is a graduate of Columbia College, Columbia University, and she obtained her law degree from Suffolk Law School. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.

Chief Underwriting Officer, Vice President Bradley John brings 13 plus years of underwriting and risk management experience, with 10 years being directly involved with the life sciences area as a specialist and practice leader. Brad began his career in the nonprofit sector with a focus on risk control and risk financing. He has held positions in corporate risk management, captive claims, and underwriting. Brad most recently served as the worldwide life sciences casualty manager with Chubb. Mr. John graduated with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Iowa.

Vice President & Chief Claims Officer Hedy Linette Ranieri has over 27 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. Prior to joining Berkley Life Sciences she held positions with several insurance carriers including Chubb, where she managed a team of Life Science Examiners. Ms. Ranieri has also held positions with Aetna Casualty & Surety, Hanover Insurance Company and most recently as a Director with Everest National Insurance Company, where she managed Medical Malpractice and Environmental Program claims on a National basis. Her diverse experience also includes supervising and managing complex commercial toxic tort, environmental, asbestos, property, casualty, employment practices, directors and officers, personal lines and automobile claims. Ms. Ranieri is a member of the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics; Defense Research Institute; and the Counsel on Litigation Management. She is a graduate of East Carolina University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Health.

Vice President, Chief Legal and Regulatory Affairs Officer Eric Jacobs, Esq., ARM brings over 16 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry to the position of Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs with Berkley Life Sciences, LLC. Previously, Mr. Jacobs served in the role of product development attorney with the Specialty Corporate Underwriting Department at XL Insurance. Mr. Jacobs also served as claims counsel and then later as claims line of business manager for the Environmental Underwriting Group at XL. In this capacity he managed numerous multi-million dollar environmental, engineering, products liability and other property and casualty claims from inception to resolution. Mr. Jacobs has a B.A. degree in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. decree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business. He is a graduate of the American University Washington College of Law where he served as Assistant Editor of the Law Review. Mr. Jacobs is a member of the Pennsylvania bar and is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania state courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer Spencer Page brings over 15 years of Insurance, financial and operations management to Berkley Life Sciences, working for both large and small Insurance and Reinsurance entities. Spencer's career began with a small New Jersey based insurer, where he gained valuable experience in all facets of running an insurance entity. In 2003, Spencer joined the White Mountains Reinsurance Group as an officer in their International Financial Consolidations area. During that period he was involved with international markets and foreign exchange operations of a large multinational reinsurer. His next opportunity came to him from AIG American General, where he started in financial reporting for the Domestic Life Companies and was soon promoted to Director of Treasury. Many of his responsibilities stretched well outside the Treasury arena to TPA management and integration. Spencer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, NJ.

Vice President, Risk Services Kevin Quinley CPCU, ARM, AIC, AIM, ARe has over 30 years experience in the property and casualty insurance business. Mr. Quinley was formerly with Medmarc Insurance Group. He is the author of numerous articles and ten books, including Managing Product Liability and Avoiding Litigation. The co-author of Marketing Medical Devices in the United States (Euromed Communications, Ltd.), he has worked with hundreds of life science firms - from Fortune 500 companies to startups -- in reducing their cost of risk. Mr. Quinley holds the CPCU designation as well as four specialty designations from the Insurance Institute of America -- Claims (AIC), Risk Management (ARM), Management (AIM) and Reinsurance (ARe). He is a Contributing Editor of the magazine, Medical Product Outsourcing and serves on the Board of the Council of Litigation Management and the Insurance Institute's Board of Ethical Inquiry. Mr. Quinley has a B.A. from Wake Forest University and an M.A. from The College of William & Mary.

Assistant Vice President, Underwriting and Risk Services Specialist Christopher Dorko, ARM, ARM-PE, CFPS, CHMM has over 15 years of experience in life sciences risk management working in property and casualty insurance, pharmaceutical development and preparation, and medical device research and production industries. He began his career working for Ethicon, Inc., a Johnson and Johnson company followed by Barr Pharmaceuticals. In these roles Mr. Dorko had responsibilities related to site engineering, workplace safety, facility protection and loss prevention, and compliance. Prior to joining Berkley Life Sciences he was a Senior Life Sciences Loss Control Specialist with Chubb where he performed multi-line exposure analysis and client risk services for a large and highly diverse life sciences book of business. Mr. Dorko has been active in training underwriting and loss control staff in specific exposure identification and mitigation, developing and supporting engineering and underwriting exposure management guidelines, and providing risk management consultation to clients and brokers. He has extensive experience in loss mitigation for critical industry specific operations including research facilities, biologics storage, bio-pharmaceutical, and process flow continuity planning. Mr. Dorko has authored several articles on life science facility loss prevention and disaster recovery planning, and he is a Professional Firefighter in New Jersey. He has a Bachelors of Science from Rutgers University and a Masters of Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Vice President, International Manager Lisa Krist is Berkley Life Science LLC's International Manager, responsible for establishing and maintaining a network of insurance services that support Berkley Life Sciences' insureds throughout the world. Prior to joining Berkley Life Sciences Ms. Krist was in charge of underwriting for The Hartford's Technology Practice and held several positions at Chubb in underwriting and management. The last five years of her nearly 17-year Chubb tenure Ms. Krist was responsible for the development and management of Innovator, an internet-based product for emerging IT and Life Sciences firms which was sold in the US, UK and Canada. In addition to carrier experience Ms. Krist also lead the Technology Practice at Wachovia Insurance Services of Tampa. Ms. Krist graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University with a BA in French Literature and received an MBA from the University of Tampa.

Vice President, Regional Underwriting Manager Paul Osuch has over 20 years experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. His experience has included positions in underwriting, risk management, and management while employed by Reliance, Crum & Forster, and Commerce Insurance Services. Before joining Berkley Life Sciences he worked for Commerce Insurance Services where his responsibilities included managing its Risk Control Division. He serves as a faculty member for the Insurance Society of Philadelphia. Mr. Osuch is a graduate of the University of Shippensburg where he received his B.S. degree in Business Administration.

Assistant Vice President, Regional Underwriting Manager Stacy Sanders CPCU, AIM, has more than 14 years of experience in the commercial property & casualty insurance industry. She began her career with The St. Paul Companies and held various underwriting positions in their Financial Services, Foreign Risk Services, and Commercial divisions. She was instrumental in the establishment and start-up operations of St. Paul's Canadian Cross Border Services unit. Prior to joining Berkley Life Sciences, Ms. Sanders worked in Chubb's Commercial and Technology units. Most recently, Ms. Sanders was the Information & Network Technology Manager for Chubb in the Western Zone brokerage and San Francisco retail territories. Ms. Sanders has been active within the CPCU Society since completing her designation, and she served as President of their Golden Gate Chapter. Ms. Sanders is a graduate of Wake Forest University where she received a B.S. degree in Business from the Wayne Calloway School of Business.

Vice President, Chief Information Officer Scott Rosenberg has over 18 years experience in the technology and health care industries. He has previous experience in programming, database development, project management and systems architecture. Prior to joining Berkley Life Sciences, he was with the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. While at the Hospital for Special Surgery he was in key technical and leadership roles with the development of Business Intelligence and data warehousing. He specializes in utilizing industry standards such as Service Oriented Architecture and Best of Breed approaches and is a member of several insurance and technology associations. Mr. Rosenberg graduated from Villanova University's IT PMP Certification program and The University of Arizona with a BS in Health Sciences and Nutrition.

Vice President, Operations Esperanza Pereira comes to Berkley Life Sciences from Preserver Insurance Group. She brings with her over 16 years of property and casualty operations experience. In the 6 years preceding her employment with Berkley Life Sciences, Mrs. Pereira served as Preserver's Corporate Operations Manager. As the manager of corporate operations, she was directly responsible for customer service, billing, claims clerical staffing, and underwriting assistants for both personal and commercial lines.
